Adventure Game Description

"This might be the craziest thing I've ever done. But it was ridiculously fun, there's no denying that."

- Chris D., Las Vegas, NV

Interactive adventure contests have been organized across the country for years, and this is your chance to play for only $20. If deciphering planted clues, hitting your friends with pies, testing your endurance, and playing pranks is your idea of a good time, then you’ve come to the right place.

What are Interactive Adventure Games?

Over the course of several weeks, our reality-based games use emailed missions to transform the lives of you and your friends into the actions of out of control undercover spies. It’s not a video game; it’s real life. Think of it like that movie "The Game," but without getting drugged and left in Mexico. Only teams who use creativity, desire, humor, and all available resources will survive!

Danger and opportunity can present itself at any time or place, even in a location as common as your local grocery store. You’ll never know where the next clue or threat may present itself. Get ready to sharpen your senses and expect the unexpected; our games will have you fighting tooth and nail for victory while splitting your sides with laughter.

Sounds interesting, how do they work?

Teams of 4 to 10 players compete against each other to complete undercover missions in the most creative and daring fashion while attempting to thwart the efforts of the other teams. You and your team will receive daily emails directing you towards your next objective, such as playing a prank or conducting surveilence. During and after each mission, players report their success and other key information to Athlon headquarters. We then analyze the information, determine which teams are worthy of continuing, and select new missions accordingly. The games last for almost three weeks, but we know that everyone has busy lives, so most missions take only minutes and run in the background of your daily life, not interfere with it.

How Much Does It Cost?

Games are only $20 per participant. Setup for the game is free. You are only charged once everyone is signed up and the game is started.

What’s the incentive for victory?

What? Do you really need more incentive than defeating and humiliating your friends? Isn’t the inner satisfaction of a job well done good enough for you people? What’s that, you say that’s all fine and good but you want cold hard cash too? Ok. Ok...

Following the completion of every 1,000 Adventure Games played across the nation; we will hold a drawing for a grand prize of $10,000! In order to be automatically entered for the drawing, your team must win one Adventure Game. It’s that simple. With new teams participating every week, your chances at the grand prize increase by the day. Official Rules

What are the requirements?

1. There is no age limitation, but if you are under the age of 18, you will need legal guardian permission.

2. You'll need to convince some of your friends to play with you. Games can be played with as few as 4 people. However, the more people you have, the more fun it is. In fact, it's usually best if not everyone knows each other. But the first step is for you to click Set Up A New Game to the left. This will create an area where people can join your game before it starts. Plus, we've provided a handy automatic emailer to help you invite some friends. Then they can invite other friends who invite others, and before you know it, you have enough for a game.

3. All players should be in the same city or general location because you will be interacting with each other.

4. Don’t worry if someone is going to be out of town for a couple days. They can still play while members of their team cover for them.

5. Each game is only $20 per player – a bargain when compared to an afternoon of paintball or a movie, especially when you consider that our games last up to three weeks.

6. Try to have at least 15 ounces of weapons grade plutonium.

7. That’s it. We make everything really easy and help you through each step of the process. (Oh, if you are able to obtain number 6, please visit www.dhs.gov first and tell them all about it.)

How can I get started?

Simply click Setup a New Game (no charge for setup) or Request Information if you would like some help. Once the game is set up, it will take some effort on your part to get others to sign up. We provide a handy automatic emailer for you to invite people, but you'll probably have to call and direct them to go sign up too. We suggest that you start by making 3 or 4 of your closest friends sign up, I'm sure they owe you anyway. Remind them that it is only $20 and there is a money back garauntee. Then have each of them invite two more people, and each of them to invite two more, and so forth. This process takes a little time, but it's definately worth it. It's the difference between 4 or 5 people trying to play the game alone or having an entire city full of secret agents doing secret agent missions. And remember, it's best if everyone doesn't know each other. The maximum number of players is 40, the minimum is 4.

What should I expect once everyone is signed up?

Once everyone is in position and ready to go, the Game Captain starts the game. In order to start the game, Athlon I.A. charges just one credit card. The cost is $20 per player, so the owner of the card needs to collect the money from each player as reimbursment. Make sure you either have everyone's money up front or you are sure you can get it, because there are no refunds for individual players, only as a group.

Emailed missions are then sent to players the day after the Game Captain starts the game. The emails will inform each team of the game’s plot and give specific instructions to carry out in real life. Once you complete these instructions, you report back the results to us and look for more emails.
